In the News.....
Since 1992, Food City has conducted its annual Food For All holiday campaign to raise funds for local non-profit hunger relief organizations. The 2005-2006 campaign collected and designated $74,800 in total.
A special presentation for our Food Bank was made by Food City through its annual campaign. The presentation was made at the St. Paul store on Friday morning, December 15, 2006. Haskel Bledsoe, District Manager for Food City, presented a check for $1,000 to Clara Johnson, Director, First Baptist Church Food Bank. The money will be used to supplement supplies at the Food Bank.

In Memory...
On October 27, 2006, the families of Billy J. Lyons and Laymon & Shirley Kiser planted trees in loving memory of their lives. The trees were planted at the Wetlands Estonoa Learning Center and the representatives of this native Appalachian species are located along the shores of Estonoa. Attending the event were Terry Vencil, Tripper Hilton, Dana Lyons, Butch Kiser, Rev. Mike Moore, Roy Hilton, Arlie Mae Hilton and Dean Vencil. The families want to thank Zack Hicks and Christopher Vance for planting the trees.

Wood Carving
Rev. Mike Moore Style
St. Paul High School students are experiencing a new type of art this semester by doing wood carving. Pictured are the guest speaker and amateur wood carver Rev. Mike Moore, with Kara Holbrook and Ashley Boardwine. Each of the students are carving a mouse shelf hanger and learning the fundamentals of wood carving. These students are currently in 2nd and 3rd semester art in Katie Jessee's Visual Arts class.
